Winemaking Philosophy
To
maximize the advantages of our soils, climate and topography,
through careful vineyard
management and minimal interference in the winery. It is our
aim to produce wines of elegance and finesse, which will complement
food and improve
with age.

Carmenère
** An exciting development from the winery - we have "discovered" an ancient and noble French red grape in our vineyard! We are the first New Zealand grower to produce a varietally labelled Carmenère.

Albarino Don't be alarmed if you notice some rather ill-looking vines or an empty area in the vineyard next time you visit. We are removing some sections of the existing vineyard to make way for an exciting new grape variety - ALBARINO, pronounced al-bar-een-yo.
Read the story about Albarino here.
