The winery was built in time for the 1997 vintage.
All winemaking processes from crushing, pressing, fermenting,
barrel aging and blending are undertaken on site. The winery
has the capacity to handle 100 tons of fruit.
The second stage
of the winery building was completed in early 2001 with tasting
and entertainment facilities, including winebar and food preparation and serving
areas.
Visitors can order wine by the bottle or glass
for consumption on the premises, or taste a flight of our
wines. Tasting can be accompanied
by platters of local seasonal foods.
The building is situated on a knoll which affords
sweeping views down and across the vineyard to the beautiful
bush-clad Mahurangi
hills beyond. Visitors can
also see winemaking processes in action from the winebar.
