PLANNING YOUR FUNCTION
The contemporary New Zealand architecture and captivating views of the vineyard and wider vista provide a unique setting for intimate occasions at Ransom Wines. Our venue has a special ambience and our aim
is
to make each occasion unique and memorable.
TIMING
We
prefer not to close for private functions during our
opening hours which are 10 am to 5 pm Tuesday to Sunday.
Bookings
are usually taken from 6pm onwards. Bookings for
daytime functions may be possible, however the cellar door will remain open
for
public wine
sales. Information can be provided
re. local services and amenities, e.g. accommodation, taxis,
etc.
NUMBER OF GUESTS
Around 30 people can be seated at one long table in the gallery. A "Vergola” roof
and clear blinds
complete the weather proofing of the terrace which can seat around 40. A maximum of 50 people can be accommodated for a seated function. Using both the gallery and terrace areas we can cater for up to 60 people for a stand up/finger food occasion. A
minimum number of 30 people is required to hold an evening
function.
CATERING
REQUIREMENTS
We cater for functions
from the winery kitchen in a fresh, flavoursome style using
excellent
ingredients. Meals usually range in price from $60 per head for a less formal occasion and around $90 per head for a plated four course meal. The price per head is determined by the menu, style and nature of the function.
BEVERAGES
You
can select from our range the particular wines you
would like served to match the courses throughout the evening. The current winebar prices are charged. Beer and bubbly
can be ordered through the winery (on a sale or return basis). Non alcoholic drinks are available at the bar.
COSTS & PAYMENT
A
location fee is charged to allow the venue to be open in
the evening. This charge is dependent on time of day and number of hours we are required to be open. A deposit is required
in advance to confirm a booking. Full
payment is required on the night or day following the event.
