Ransom Cabernet Fort 2003 - 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Fortified wine made from fruit left on the vine to shrivel, expressly for the purpose of concentrating the sugar for a port-style wine.  It was fortified in the traditional manner by using grape spirit (brandy) distilled from our own wine.  After six years in barrel, it was bottled in November 2010.  Rich and unctuous with hints of chocolate, licorice, orange blossom, muscatel and a melange of dried fruit, this wine is so more-ish it is positively dangerous.
