The dry year continues. 2015 is the driest first six months we have had in our 22 years of record-keeping, and we have just had our second-driest June on record. It has also been a warm winter so far – until a few days ago, when we had a ripper of a frost. Great for the vineyard but our poor agaves are now looking very sad. (Think we’d rather have a healthy and dormant vineyard). Soil temperature is now low enough to get underway with pruning in earnest. The 2015 reds have now all been put to barrel and we will be bottling two wines next week – Vin Gris rose and Albarino.
